In addition to visiting the many natural and cultural resources of Bali, you can also take part in other activities.

Lovina is well known for the Dolphins which can be seen during a boat trip before sunrise. Every morning many fishermen with tourists aboard leave Lovina in search for dolphins. Due to the large population of shrimps living in the sea near Lovina, the chance that you will see these animals is 80%. Many times the boats are surrounded by dozens of dolphins jumping and playing. It is usually sufficient to make an arrangement with a fisherman 1 day in advance. The trip lasts more than two hours.

Swimming with the dolphins

At the Melka Hotel, just outside Lovina, you have the opportunity to really swim with the dolphins in the hotel’s pool. Both children and adults can swim and play with the dolphins for about twenty minutes and you can enjoy a dolphin show daily. The hotel has also a very well kept wildlife animal park with a wide variety of wild animals, such as an Orang Utan, deers, kangaroos, exotic birds, snakes, reptiles and a lot more. There is also a pool where guests can observe sharks and sea turtles swimming and feeding.

Many traditional fishermen sail out every day on the Bali Sea to catch fish. Do you like fishing and do you want to explore this yourself? Simply ask a fisherman at the end of the afternoon if you can join him on his trip. You can even ask your cook to prepare the fish you caught for dinner.

Snorkeling and diving

The Balinese sea near Lovina offers several places for great snorkeling and diving. Because of the shallow and calm sea, you will have a good view of the tropical fish. Again, you can ask a fisherman to take you to the most beautiful places to snorkel, which you are most likely to find east of Lovina.
